Trunk or Treat

My pictures are out of order and I am lazy to fix them. On Sunday, we went to the parents house for dinner and carved pumpkins with the fam. This is the first year I did not carve a pumpkin. I think I would like to blame that on my bah humbug husband of mine. He never really likes to celebrate any kind of holiday. He doesn't even like Disneyland for goodness sake. That is what I am dealing with here. I think too, is that Adam my biggest competition was not there to challenge me. Oh well, theres always next year.

Here is Rach and Lex. Lex had fun helping everyone!!!!
He got down and dirty, hence the no shirt.
Here is the trunk or treat last night! Lex was Mickey Mouse. He would not wear the ears which made me upset. He is not feeling well and everything is such drama to him. He loved the candy even though he was sick.

he even participated in the cake walk to get a cupcake, He loved it, mmmmm.

Dad showed up late and helped Lex go trunk or treating.

A lady had a candle set up and he was a bout to blow it out. Lex loves candles and especially loves to blow them out like it is his birthday or something.

I hope Lex feels better and maybe on Halloween he will wear his ears and I can get a cute picture of him in his costume. My mom made this lovely costume. She is the best. The shoes got spray painted yellow and as you can tell in some of the pics the paint is coming off.

Back to Sunday, Charles was there and I think he had the most fun carving pumpkins. Even though Lex kept interrupting his carving skills.

Since grumpy Ben didn't carve pumpkins he made everyone yummy tapioca pudding. It was simply delicious. Ben really is a good cook when he does it. He claims not to know how, but he is good.

Ok, Ben helped Lex get into the fun a little bit.

Lex would stop for a minute to play with the skeletons my mom has hanging from her light fixture.

When I meant Lex helped everyone, he did! he liked getting his hands all gooey.

Latin festival

In my grandma's stake they celebrated all the central and south american countries. They set up booths and provede food from different countries. They had so much food there. I ate way too much, I just had to try everything. Lex even tried all the food.
Here is some of the family that also came.
Here is Lex and I posing by one of the booths.

This is a crazy hat they wear in Bolivia.

This is my grandma and her booth. She made saltenas and a peanut soup, I forget the name.

Just finishing up our food waiting for the program to start.

This is my cousins son, Benny. he did the dance in the video below. He is awesome!

They even had a booth for the USA. We love America! They served pizza and hot dogs.

This is the La Bamba. This is from Mexico. I wore the same dress and did that dance back in 6th grade, wow.

Lex had so much fun. He would go right up to the stage and dance.

He played with my cousins son, Julius. They were giving eachother high 5.

In this video, the are dancing the "Cueca" It is a flirtatious dance.

This dance is called the "Tinku" Benny is dancing it.

Already? Really?

I don't know if you can tell what the picture below is....
Lex grabbed a pink highlighter from Ben's desk and drew all over the wall. What an artist huh?
I didn't even know he would do this. I thought he was still too young for stuff like that. I' sure am naive.

I told him it was a no no. To my surprise, he repeated it back to me, no no. I was so mad at the time but when he was mocking me, I laughed. He even got my finger shaking down. So much for disciplining him this time.

Lex has been obsessed with shoes lately. It doesn't even matter whose they are. He loves to try them on.

My favorite video. Lex has been a gamer lately. He loves to watch dad play nintendo. he even pretends to play on the controller. He will be so good at it. At least it will make his dad happy. He can have a game partner.

He says "game", like the game does. Ben is playing super smash brothers. It is one of our favorites.

He even cheers dad on and says, "oh no" when he is losing.

Yes, he is standing on a plate.

Lex's feet

I got the camera out and wanted to take some pictures of Lex. He smiled but then he showed me his feet. I guess he wants to be a foot model. He was posing them in different ways. he loves his feet. As you can see, he was taking this very seriously.

This one is my favorite.

Oh, while he was doing these pictures he was watching Elmo. Maybe that is why he let me take pictures of his feet and not his cute face. He was busy watching Elmo.

Ladies night out

While the boys were away at Priesthood session the ladies went shopping. Well, it was like shopping all day.
I bought these lovely shoes at Mervyn's for $5.33, I love getting a good deal. It seriously makes my day. I love them and they are super comfortable.
A few other things we did.......
We went to Robert's and made cards. I also had a spider Rachel made for Lex, it is cute.
After that, I went home put Lex to bed and then went to a place called Real Deals in Springville. It is a home decor place. They were giving free prizes away. They also had free fudge and yummy popcorn. I usually don't like fudge but it was so YUM. It was white chocolate with a caramel nougat with nuts in the center. I hope all of yours Saturday was as fun/ the only bad part of Saturday was that we were in the rain all day.
