California Fun

These pictures are in a really weird order but at least I got them all on.

This is the famous picture of us with Mickey at his house. Lex loved Mickey. He was trying to eat his nose. I think it is his way of showing love. Logan loves Mickey way more than anyone I have ever seen. It was cute to watch him.

Connor told me to take this picture of him so I did. He told me he was Optimus Prime. He wrapped the beads around his waist and he transformed!!

We went on the Haunted Mansion. I did not like it as much because for the holidays they change it to the Nightmare Before Christmas. I am just not a fan.

Lex loved the carousel. He made me sick though. He would stare into the middle where it would make you the most dizzy. I guess he liked that feeling.

I have to tell the story of how we got to the beach. It was an adventure. We headed out for the beach got the car all packed with all the essentials. We finally got going on the road and we had good directions or so we thought. If not we had Jen's Navigational system if all else failed. Well not knowing it we took a wrong turn and were lost probably for 45 mins. The kids by then had enough of the car and probably could hear our stressed voices. They were screaming. Jen stopped and McDonalds and got her kids some food. We then stopped some locals and got the right directions to the beach. We were going to a place one of Jen's friends said was called the Mother's beach. We finally arrived but right before Jen missed the turn because I yelled at her not to get in the next lane because she was about to hit a car. She got mad at me and said, "Where do we go now?" She was mad but I just didn't want to get in a accident. We made it, but the beach was not what I call a beach. No waves and you couldn't look out and see forever. It was a man made Lake. It was dumb. Jen I think was just happy to make it. I did not want to stay. Jen said I need to ask people how to get to the beach if I wanted to go. I don't think she thought I would ask, well I did. There was a car next to us with 2 girls. Harmless I thought. I asked them and they were way nice. They said that we could follow them in their car because they were going. Jen thinks the funny part of the story is that I asked them while I was wearing normal clothes with my swimsuit underneath, but over my reg, pants I was wearing a cheetah print wrap. Jen laughs her head about it. I even wore it inside McDonalds when I ran Connor in to go to the bathroom. I guess she is embarrassed for me. Back to the story. When we got to Seal Beach we parked away from these girls. Of course we waved and said thanks and went on our merry way. To my surprise, as I got out of the car the girls had parked next to us. I walked over, I wasn't sure what they wanted, money??? I told them thank you and they were checking me out up and down and saying this was a good beach. I think they wanted to hang out. THEY WERE LESBIANS. Then, they saw Jen get out with the kids. Then they said, well if you guys want to hang out with adults, the next beach over at night is the place to be. I think they wanted to got with us. I said that was cool and walked away. I guess Jen and I are hot Lesbians. The day at the beach we didn't get hit on by guys but girls. The mothers beach must be a secret place where Lesbians meet.

This was the norm in Cali. Logan trying to help out Lex every chance he got. I don't think Lex appreciated it very much.

While we were there we were able to go to one of Connor's soccer games.

This was horrible. Wherever we went there was so much traffic. Especially at night. This is when we were going to Brady's wedding. It took us an hour or longer to get there.

Jen only has hard wood floors. Lex learned to be tough. He fell a few times. Most of the time I ended up holding him. I am happy to be home again with carpet.

Seagull Attack

This is what happened at the beach. We were packing our stuff to leave the beach and Jen gave Logan some gold fish to eat while she made a trip to the car. I was suppose to watch him, but he ran to his mom. He dropped his gold fish and the seagulls came. There were so many, I had to get out of there.

Where have I been? I have been in California visiting Jen and her boys. Lex loves Connor and Logan. Every time they come into the room he laughs. You know the cute laugh. This pics are from Jen's mac. Isn't it so much fun? I have to admit Connor is a pro at taking these shots.
I am on vacation but it is not a vacation, if that makes sense. I have no one here to take Lex, he is all mine 24/7. I know I guess i have it easy with a mom who is willing to take him whenever. I know!
If you look at Jen's blog you can see what we have been up to. Connor's soccer game, church, relief society, scenic drives, the mall, yummy places to eat.
Today will be so much fun. We are going to the beach. Who knows when I'll blog again. I have to go now cause Lex is crying and is being such a mommas boy.

ME

The things I do to Lex. A mom has to have some fun. I put this toy on Lex's head. I was laughing my head off. He didn't seem to mind too much.

Again, me having a laugh at my son's expense. I was getting him dressed for bed and his shirt got stuck on his huge.(ya he doesn't have a big head. He is in the 3rd percentile for head size, small I know!) He looked so funny i was laughing so hard. I had to show Ben and Ben wanted to take a picture. Lex was saying, "Talk to the Hand."

Momma!!!!!

I had a great day yesterday. Quite the opposite of today. The night before last, Lex slept all through the night. He went to bed around 930pm and woke up at 620am, Hooray! Also, biggest news of all is he said MOMMA!!! I am so excited. He may confuse it with food, but I will take it. Food = Momma right? Today, I was planning on running all my errands before I leave to California, but then I realized taht I left my wallet in Rach's purse on Sat. I can't do any of my errands. I am so bummed out right now. I have so much crap I have to get done. Also, issues with the HOA. I resident is mad about the rules and is being very confrontational about the whole issue. We had to schedule a meeting just on his behalf. I do not have time to deal with this this week. My luck, I know! It is my fault for being such a procrastinator.

Funny Logan

Jen, these were the pictures I was talking about. Logan was so funny. We put a bowl on his head and then put sticker earrings on him. We thought he looked like an old lady. I'd just thought I would share. I was looking at pictures and just stumbled upon them. I need to get you a cd of all his pic's. I have so many of them. Of course we did this to Logan when you were not around, obviously. I guess you can torture Lex when I come, hahaha.

No Picture This

Jen says I don't have to blog with a picture. But guess what I do. Lex if you didn't know is the baby. When we were younger we would always take this picture. The oldest to youngest with our easter baskets. I found this cute Easter picture on my moms computer. I am over here because the carpet cleaners are coming and no one else is around. Lucky me! Jen was so mean. She called and pretended to be the carpet cleaners and said they couldn't come til 3pm. I was so mad. Jen you are not nice!
Today is Colin's Birthday and tomorrow is grandma's. Birthday time around here. You know what that means? Good food. I think my dad is making a roast for tomorrow. Yes!
Ben is doing awesome in school. He got an A on his first Biology test. He took his first computer test on Monday and I'm sure he got an A on that too. I am so proud of him. He is working so hard. I know he is sad that he can't spend as much time with Lex. Lex has just started really loving and playing with him. Lex with growl at him and absolutely loves to play peek a boo with him.
What's new with me? Nothing really. Ben and I finally decided how or what we get if we lose weight. We have are goals that we want to get down to by Thanksgiving. So we if we don't meet our goals we can't eat Thanksgiving dinner. I think that is motivation enough. right?
