Long Fun Weekend

These are a few photos at Primary Children's where Lex got his surgery done. He really didn't want anyone. He just wanted to leave. He kept pointing at the door to leave. It was sad. ben and I switched off trying to console him. He learned there how to throw a tantrum. He now will kick his legs when he is really mad. Not fun.
Here he is trying to pull off his medical tag. I don't blame him, those things are annoying.
They did not allow anyone in that was sick or who had been exposed to anything as well.
Here he is waiting for the surgery. He was happy here because there were a lot of toys and kids to play with. Do you like the pajamas? I thought they were kind of weird.
Here he is later that afternoon. he did really well. He was just out of it a bit, can you tell?
Saturday morning, since we are up anyway we went to Macey's and had a free breakfast. It was alright. They had eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes.
Lex sure enjoyed having 2 breakfasts. He loves outside so anything outside is a good thing.
Then later on that afternoon, we went to the summerfest at the park and spent most of the day there. I wasn't feeling too good. Lex had a blast. He even got a tan, for a white boy.
He is eating of course. He had popcorn, scones and all the yummy food.
Alyssa was sure cute and having fun with all the kids.

Here is the helicopter that flew over us.Lex waiting for the parade to start stole Ruth's caramel apple. Again, eating! This kid never quits.
All the kids enjoying the parade. Lex was so cute. he would not stop waving.

He did not say hello or hi, he said, "B" for bye.Even Jodie and her cute girls came. Dani is so adorable.
My mom was so excited to see this thing at the parade. It is called an Hablada. They had it back in her country at the festivals. cool, huh?
They had an awesome chinese dancing dragon.
Ben was taking the pictures and I think this was his favorite part of the parade, hahahaha.
The loud firetrucks.
Ben taking a self portrait of him and Lex. You can tell how much fun Ben really has!!!! I think they enjoyed the awesome fireworks. That is always my favorite part. I love fireworks!

Sunday, Happy Father's Day!

My husband is an amazing father. Lex already looks up to him so much. Lex respects him and has so much fun playing with him.
Lex with Grandpa. Lex loves to cook with him!
Lex playing with Alyssa.
Aunt Rachel with Lex right after he woke up from his nap.
These are my yummy desserts I made for Father's day. I have a confession, they look better than they taste.
The dads. reading their father's day cards.

Lex and Alyssa playing in the dirt, yay!
Maddie even came!

Surgery Tommorow

Lex is finally getting surgery on his poor little eye. He has had a clogged tear duct since birth. We have tried everything but it still has not cleared up. We have to be at the hospital at 7am. Wish us luck we make it on time since it is an hour away. Please keep Lex in your prayers.

You can maybe click on the pictures to see his eye and to really see what I am talking about.

Throughout his life as you can see, it has been a nuisance. His eye is all yucky but also his cheek is all red and chapped from the tears dripping all the time. I really hope this surgery works.

Lexicon

Lex as seen below thinks he is helping out but in reality is like a tornado through my entire house. Especially yesterday, I warned Ben before he got home that our home was a disaster even though the day before it was relatively clean. It is so amazing what a Huge mess he can make in such little time. This is the only time where he isn't making huge messes but little ones, like dumping out his snacks all over the floor.
He is so hilarious that you really can't be mad at him. He seriously cracks me up.
He loves to put things on his head, but not hats or I guess anything for a period of time. He loves when I put on the Mickey mouse ears and sing "Mickey Mouse".
Sometimes I love tv, because I can get a few needed things that need to be done, DONE!
This was just a cute picture of my boys taking their Sunday afternoon nap.
So while writing this short blog, I was letting Lex watch the Wiggles and thought I was safe, NO. He went to the bathroom and grabbed the q-tips and managed to get almost all of them out of the box and make a mess. Yay for me.

Home for Now

Jen tagged me and here it goes....
Not in any particular order however the pictures load cause I am lazy!
This is Lex's sweet room. I think it is my favorite place. I love the walls. They are blue with white clouds. I love his super cute fancy crib. cute, cute, cute.
This is the fam room. Where I probably spend most of my time. Lex's toys are all there and of course what else, the tv. I don't think I watch I mostly like it for noise. I am trying to be better about that and turn it off.
This is where the yummy food magic happens when I feel like cooking and lets be honest has probably been a month, since my surgery and all. Good excuse???

Oh and thank goodness the sink ...ta da no DISHES! I can't take credit. My lovely husband did the dishes last night. All these photos are how my house is. I did not clean anything. Like I said I am feeling lazy today or hurting since I went to a high school graduation last night and people who don't know about the surgery hugged me and not a good hug and big strong hug, ow!The front of my fridge. I can't say I am like my mom and want it completely clean and I am not like Jen want it totally busy. I go in spurts.

My open fridge. To me it looks empty, I guess it is time to go spend a minimum of $100 at good old walmart. I hate that I spend so much money there. The milk is getting low.
This is what my child is doing right now! Sleeping. What do I do? Blog. I should probably be getting dressed for the day, nah!

My messy computer that I blog on. I can say it is Ben's computer so his mess! Yes! Also, you will notice who's blog I'm reading...... Jen!!! I love her.
Since, Jen tagged me, I'll tag all of you! Have fun!

One more thing. I was watching good things utah and they were showing a house I guess for some garden show, I'm not really interested in that but they showed the pool in the backyard. It was huge. I was feeling jealousy. I would love to go swimming right now. I am not really a fan of public pools either. So if anybody has a nice pool Lex and I would love to come. I'm not inviting myself or anything. I am just having envy. I know, bad!

Lex loves outside

Skinned knee

Lex loves to be outside! Really!!! Whoever he can con to go outside, he is in pure heaven! Here he is with daddy kicking a ball around. He is getting very good at kicking it around. he mostly likes to pick it up and throw it.
Lex is pointing at the birds. Grandma Judy showed him the love of birds.

On the 2nd, Lex on his many outings outside he fell down and got his first skinned knee. It is not too bad. He fell down and I picked him up and didn't even realize he was hurt until I put him in his car seat and saw. He is a big boy and didn't seem to mind that he hurt his knee. he just grabs his knee and holds it.
I also have been attempting to start giving Lex one nap a day. Not successful. He still needs 2 I guess. The 2nd day I tried at lunch in his high chair he fell asleep while the tv was on and I was vacuuming. I didn't notice he was asleep until I was done vacuuming. I wanted to take a picture but Ben had the camera. It was so cute. He had jelly on his nose. I was laughing.
