Awesomeness
So after dropping Lex off at preschool today I stopped at Wal-mart to pick up a few things. I hadn't eaten breakfast so I was kind of hungry. I was just getting the usual things like eggs and milk, you know the usual. Then a worker walked past me holding what I believed to look like some kind of yummy pastry. I was wondering where she got it from. In my head I was thinking it could not have been from Wal-Mart. Of course I have never eaten anything at their bakery. So I decide to check it out. i walk over there and I see nothing that resembles what she got. All I saw was some lousy doughnuts. If any of you know me you know I love my pastries. One time when I was pregnant I made my dad go to like 8 different shops to find the perfect pastry I was looking for. Anyway back to the story. So, I was about to walk off when another worker reaches in the pastry door and grabs what looked like the other ladies pastry. I had missed it at first glance. I looked at it and I think I have seen this type of pastry before but never looked appetizing. I'm sitting there wondering whether or not to try one and out of hunger decide it is a good idea to try. So I sit in my car trying this thing out and wow. Let me tell you, it was delicious! It was flaky and a little chewy with like caramelized sugar and mine had chocolate drizzled on the top. I was in pastry heaven which I like to be in more than I should. I talked with Jen and she says she knows what they are and is not too impressed with my find. whatev! I think they are called palmiers. All I know is I know where to find it and it is close to my house. Bad thing. Also, it only costs 58 cents, that's right baby!
