Grandma Naomi

My sweet grandma passed away late Sunday night. I just got back from Las Vegas and then we heard the bad news and went to go say "goodbye" at the hospital. She looked very peaceful. I will never forget her and the lessons she has taught me.
This picture is of her holding Lex when he was born. They really became really close. Lex would go with my dad to pick her up from dialysis every Mon, Wed, and Fri while I went to work out. Lex would always wander into grandma's room and give her hugs and kisses and tell her hi, just because. When he was younger he would pull all her tissues out. It didn't bother grandma, she loved him. I will miss her so much. I am glad she is "home" with her husband. She is an amazing woman and she will truly be missed by all.
I Love you Grandma Nao!

Christmas Fun

The first week of December, I always go to Festival of Trees. I have always wanted to donate a tree for forever now. There is always next year, right? Lex had fun looking at all the trees. This was one of Lex's favorite trees. He loves Mickey Mouse, in case you didn't know by now.
The ginger bread houses were amazing.
This one was my favorite. I have always loved Candy Land.
Lex needed some warmer pajamas so instead of waiting for Christmas I got him 2 new pair, This one Cars and a Mickey Mouse one. He loved them. He really has been into cars lately. He even makes the "vroom" sound like every boy should be able to do.

We attempted to go see Santa. I really was not enthusiastic because last year was horrible. I tried again and while we were waiting he seemed all excited and was in a good mood.

He was getting impatient and started going up there, even though it was not his turn.

As soon as we got to him, he got all shy. Of course, I wanted a picture of him on Santa's lap. You can see how well that turned out.....................................
Should I try again next year??????
We also had our family Christmas dinner this Saturday since everyone will be going out of town. We decided to go to Olive Garden. Easy and no clean up, not to mention delicious. It was of our favorite places to eat. mmmmmm.

Lex doesn't like noodles, but he did find a new love for alfredo sauce.

Sarah's Wedding

Sarah and Ben got married last Saturday in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a good ceremony. I never met the Ben before but he is FUNNY. They also had one of the longest temple kisses I have ever seen. You can really tell they are in love. Awwwwe. Here is there wedding cake. Not only was it beautiful but it was yummy.
We had so much fun and so glad we could be there on their big day.

The decorations were so gorgeous.

The place was perfect for a wedding reception.

We even had our own seating, how fancy. They had caramel apples, I was in heaven.

A lot of us girls made it to the wedding, here are some of us. I didn't get a picture of everybody, I'm sad.

Me, Ashley, Ashlee, and Kristen---she shared some exciting news!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

My pictures got all out of order. Oh well. We were at my parents house this Thanksgiving. There were not as many people as usual, but I kind of liked that. More food for me, j/k. I hope you all had a yummy Thanksgiving like I did.

After dinner, we all played games. Of course I won, so it was fun. While we played, Grandpa and Lex whipped up the cream for the pies. Lex loves to help Grandpa cook.
Kelsey and Grandma

I had to take a pic with my niece, Alyssa. We were basically wearing the same outfit. We looked hot.

Lex got jealous, so here we are. He was being a ham.

Here is the food: Lex just woke up from his nap and wasn't quite hungry yet. He hung out in his high chair for a long time. Doesn't it look yummy. mmmmmmm.

Lex was really excited about the decorations. He accidentally tipped over one of the glasses and it broke.

This is why I am thankful:

Here is the picture of the bird. Mmmmm, it was good.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and ate as much as I did. I love the leftovers. I still am not sick of it.

Shopping

I was one of those crazy people who went out early, I mean early and was there when all the madness broke out at walmart in the wee hours of the morning. It actually was not that bad, I thought. I then made it to Target, Old Navy, Kohls, and lastly the mall. 200 hundred dollars later, YA! I am spent, physically, mentally and money wise.

Tyler's Wedding

Last Saturday we went to Richfield to Tyler's, Ben's cousins wedding. It was last minute notice for us, but we had a lot of fun.
Here were the table decorations at the reception that evening. Here they are cutting the cake. They were really nice to each other, unlike Ben and I.
Grandpa was there and Lex had fun playing with him.
Here is our lovely fam. Doesn't Lex look great with his hand in his mouth. We just had our family pictures done by my lovely sister in law and I realized that taking pictures with a almost 2 year old is hard.
So, in between the wedding and the reception we had some time to kill. Lex was outside playing in the leaves so I decided to take some cute pics since he was dressed all cute thanks to my mom getting him his new handsome sweater.

Ben always has a fun time throwing him up in the air.

This was my favorite shot. As you can tell I took a ton but this is the only one I really love. Man, it is hard getting a kid to look at the camera.

He got his head stuck a couple of times, I just laughed at him.

There were plenty of leaves around to play with. He definitely had a blast.

Here is their cake. I heard the sister in law made it? I'm not for sure on that.

Lex of course was bored and wanted to run around during the ceremony.

Here is a picture of the lovely couple and the judge who married them.

You could really tell they were in love. They both were teary eyed.

The Park

I love this picture. He has so much fun at the park.
Lex just barely started loving the park. We would go and he would have fun but just lately he has had all the independence to play on his own. Which scares me a little because he likes to tease me by going to the edges and saying hi. He goes all over. He climbs all by himself to the big twisty slide and goes down them. Slides are definitely his favorite thing at the park. He hates swings, which are my favorite. He goes through the tubes. I love taking him. I am sad because it is getting colder weather. I don't mind putting a jacket on him, soon there will be snow and I really don't want to stand in the cold and watch him.

See, he really doesn't like swings, even if I swing with him. Weird huh?

He will go down a slide over and over again.

Here he is on his own making his way to the big slide.

Halloween

Happy Halloween!
It was hard catching Lex to get a good pisture of him in his costume. He had so much fun running around with the other kids.

Alyssa was Minnie Mouse and Lex of course was Mickey Mouse. Don't they look adorable?

Lex went trick or treating with his cousins and Kayson.

Lex was so ready to go get all the yummy candy.

Maddie came by and visited. Charles almost ate her though. What a cute weenie dog.

Lex crashed after the sugar high wore off.

Here is all of us. It rained for a little bit. Good thing it wasn't that cold.

Lex loves Mickey Mouse, I am glad my mom made him this costume. He looked so cute.

There weren't that many kids out. This is probably the most kids we saw all night.
